Ria Formosa is an amazing coastal lagoon that covers about 18,000 hectares of Natural Park. Its saltmarshes, labyrinthic shallow channels and barrier islands, create a unique environment of great ecological value. When hiking, biking, boating or sailing at Ria Formosa you can enjoy astonishing views and paradisiac spots. Bird-watching lovers find at Ria Formosa a unique ecosystem with several species of birds, some of them rare.
